Sunday Morning Class

Metaphysics I
Sundays, 10:10 a.m.
Text  -  Metaphysics Part I
Location: Teen Room
Facilitator: Lynn Liddell, Licensed Unity Teacher

Our class between Sunday services for 2009 will be Metaphysics I, part of the Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) curriculum developed by Unity Institute. Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy that deals with “ultimate questions” about the nature of reality, questions like: Is there a difference between the way things appear to us and the way they really are; When I make what feels like a free choice, how do I know I am really acting freely? What makes a person the same person throughout the course of his or her life? Explore how the Unity Movement approaches these questions and others. Materials will be available at the first class.

A Course In Miracles

.Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m.
Location: Manning Hall
Facilitators: Bill Bennett and Jim Holbrook

The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite. Open to all. A love offering will be received.

Playshop
Setting Forth in 2009 with Intention and Clear Values

Saturday, January 31, 10:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m.
Location: Manning Hall
Facilitator: Cindie Wilding

Everyone makes resolutions in the New Year thinking about how they can wipe the slate clean and start anew. Resolutions can often represent the best of intentions. But because we either lack a support system for follow-up, or we are basing these resolutions on what we believe we “should” do or “should” be, there is no inspiration or motivation to keep them going.
How would it be to start 2009 with clear intentions, based on your personal values?
Being clear on our own personal values keeps us grounded,  true to ourselves and in our personal integrity.  Organizing our year around our values will feel good to us and will support us in creating our desired future.
Come to this playshop and
identify, understand and be clear about your values
create a values expression project
orient your year around expressing those values
Sound fun?  Please join Certified Retreat and Life Coach Cindie Wilding.  Bring a bag lunch, an open mind, an open heart and a youthful spirit.  Love offering gratefully accepted.
